Google Android Growth (Nairobi) is seeking to recruit a Software Engineering Manager.
Minimum qualifications:
- B.S.c in Computer Science or sufficient relevant experience.
- Technical management of software developers and architects experience.
- Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing distributed systems (Android, and mobile O.S).
Preferred qualifications:
- Should be able to program in either of the following: Java, C++, or Kotlin.
Responsibilities
- Foster collaboration with Android Partner Engineering, Developer Relations, and other teams.
- Take initiative by coding, training, and driving projects as needed.
- Create growth-oriented strategies and roadmaps with Program Managers.
- Establish effective execution processes and communication with Technical Program Managers.
- Build and support the team through hiring, mentoring, and workload balance.
