Database Administrator Needed at Old Mutual. Deadline 15th October 2023
The IT professional will take care of the daily Database Administration and Close of business process and will be responsible for ensuring proper backup.
Main Responsibilities
Core Banking Operations: Execute core banking processes, including COB, data backups, and COB troubleshooting.
T24 Management: Administer and optimize the T24 Core Banking Application, its environment, and performance.
Database and IT Infrastructure: Manage databases, access permissions, storage, and archiving procedures.
Disaster Recovery: Maintain Primary and DR sites, including planning, testing, and data integrity.
Interface and Integration: Handle T24 interfaces, ATM integration, and monitoring of critical services.
Backups and Testing: Manage backups, T24 Test Environment, and support for QA.
Reporting: Administer COB output reports and upload to BI system.
Security and Compliance: Enforce AML, KYC & CFT policies, and report suspicious transactions.
Technology Evaluation: Assess new technologies and software for bank operations.
Collaboration: Work with ICT teams, escalate issues to management, and ensure optimal service delivery.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent IT-related training, coupled with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a dynamic financial institution. Additionally, possession of ITIL Service Delivery Certification is required.
Knowledge and Skills
- 2 years of T24 Close of Business experience.
- Certified in Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and UNIX.
- Proficiency in T24 and other banking software COB processes.
- Expertise in Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, and jBASE.
- Windows and UNIX administration skills.
- Familiarity with core banking software like Finacle, BR.Net, etc.
