Technical Writer Needed at Service Titan (Remote Job)

Service Titan, a US-based firm, is seeking to bring on board a talented technical writer who will be responsible for a number of things.

The writer will be part of the product team offering invaluable support through content creation. 

Also, the writer will be responsible for updating content on new features updates, release notes, and any other needed material.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., English, Technical Communications, Computer Science, Engineering).
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, editing, grant writing, or related roles preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in software development/SaaS or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in writing release notes, help documentation, and procedural guides.
• Strong editorial skills.
• Expertise in simplifying complex data, processes, and technical concepts into understandable text and media.
• Effective coordination of multiple projects and documentation.

Other Desirable Skills

• Experience in API writing, journalism, or instructional design.
• Knowledge of home services industries and related terminology (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Problem-solving experience from a user's perspective (e.g., QA, Customer Support).
• Familiarity with software development/SaaS or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in headless CMSs (e.g., Contentful), online editing tools, and component-based authoring tools.
• Expertise in using data insight tools like Google Analytics for content prioritization and engagement tracking.
• Familiarity with work tracking systems like JIRA.
• Experience with generative AI and related tools.
